Matthias Wessendorf will focus his presentation on the topic of WebSocket and HTML5. Comet or Bayeux was previously used for the realization of ‘real-time web’. With the use of WebSocket, developers have a standard method for full-duplex communication through a TCP connection.
The presentation will introduce WebSocket and its practical use in relation to HTML5 API’s.
Wessendorf was working for Oracle and is now with JBoss by Red Hat and also a member of the Apache Software Foundation. He is known to actively contribute to the OpenSource community, mainly Apache MyFaces and Apache Trinidad.
