TechTalk’s past edition with Boaz Leskes

The retrospective on the latest TechTalk edition: Boaz Leskes, the lead developer at Elastic, talking about resiliency strategy in Elasticsearch and Apache Lucene.

We host many cool events over the year, but a favorite of ours and one of the most attracting ones is the GameDuell TechTalk that we organize several times a year since 2010. For the latest edition we opened our doors on June 3rd as a free side event of the Berlin’s Buzzword Conference. Boaz Leskes, lead developer at Elastic, gave an instructive talk about the resiliency strategy in Elasticsearch and Apache Lucene.
We were very delighted to once again host over 100 participants with interests in storing, processing and searching big data. They heard Boaz Leskes giving valuable insights into the inner workings of Elasticsearch with especially addressing the importance of resiliency to hardware and network failure. During and after his speech, he and Elastic engineers Adrien Grand and Ryan Ernst answered many questions in regards to the architecture and practical use cases of the engine.
We very much want to thank our speakers and the active and proficient audience for the great talk, productive discussions, new inspirations and a lot of fun. It was a great pleasure to host you and we hope to welcome you again next time.
If you want to be kept posted about GameDuell’s upcoming TechTalk events, you can sign up for our TechTalk groups on XING, Meet up and Facebook.
